To Those Who Have Had a Special Impact
I
have been so lucky to have been able to attend some seminars and shows over
the past 5 years. With three children and working full time, I cherish
every event I get to go to because I do not know when I will make it to
another one (a great, understanding husband helps!). With all of that
said, I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank a few people
who have touched me deeply with a kind word or an e-mail, or simply their
advice.

Chris Hodgdon - Hodgdon Powder Co.
 | Nicest
guy in the world. I remember about 5 years ago, I was just getting into
Black Powder and he was very helpful in what to use and helping me
understand what Pyrodex is all about. Great friend and leader in his
business. Chris sets such good examples for folks to follow. |

Frady
 | Thanks,
Jim and Lynn, for your wonderful tips and friendship over the past
years. I love talking with you both. Your hard work with the
children's program encourages me to make time for my own. Lynn, I
can't wait for round two of our annual hunting trip. Thanks for
the one-on-one lesson with my new bow. |

 | Bill
Jordan and the Realtree(TM) Staff
 | Even if
you have never been into hunting, I bet you have still heard of the word
"Realtree". They love their jobs and it shows. I have been in the
right place at the right time a few times and those folks are as down
home and real as it gets. Bill was nice enough to sign a hat for me and
I cherish it. (In fact I am wearing it on my home
page, and also in the tree stand shot on the
Hunting Pics page). Thanks, Bill, for
making my day that day. Ashley and Mike Waddell are great individuals
and their hard work is evident throughout the industry. (Thanks for
setting examples for others.) |
 | Thanks to
John Tate. Thanks for being so kind to me. I ran
into John at a show and did not know who he was, but he was nice enough
to stop and talk and before I knew it, it was like we were ole’ hunting
buddies.
And most of all he is a Christian and we talked a little about how God
is so good. I have been blessed with meeting wonderful folks in the
hunting industry and John is one of a kind. We have so much in common.
Not only does he love the outdoors, he likes music and meeting country
singers like I do. I don’t know if he knows it or not, but I think he
has the greatest job. He gets to be behind the camera, in front of
the camera and produces Realtree Roadtrips. What a guy. I wish I could
be just like him, although just to hunt with him one day would be
enough! |
|
 | Harold
Knight (Knight & Hale calls)
 | I was
very fortunate to meet Harold at the 2005 S.H.O.T. show.
I figured he would not mind me saying, "Hello," but I had no idea he
would be so down-to-earth! We talked about hunting and he asked me
to have a seat while he took a break from the show. He sat there
eating a bag of peanuts and drinking a Coke, and I found myself laughing
and enjoying the fellowship. It was a feeling I will never forget.
We talked about God and family like "old friends" do. I will never
forget his kindness. |

 | Eddie
Salter - National Turkey Calling Champion and Pro for Hunters Specialty
 | He always
takes time to talk hunting with me. I liked it when he told me once to
just keep on calling those turkeys, sometimes they can get "henned up",
but then they will come back for round two! He is also an avid Deer
Hunter and the HS Struting 8 tape is awesome. To all the HS Strut Pro
Staff, thanks for what you put out there for others to learn and grow. |
|
 | Scott
Sanders - Pro Staff member for Primo's
 | I believe
that sometimes you are just MEANT to meet certain people in your
life. I was at a show once and was lost and ran into Scott.
We ended up talking about hunting and family, and if I ever need
encouragement for life or hunting Scott always has an ear and knows how
to make the impossible seem possible. Thanks, Scott, for your
continuous encouragement and spiritual uplifting. |

Drury
 |
Mark and Terry Drury and family are great folks who
I respect so much in the industry. They are great folks to look up
to and have stayed true to themselves and their fans. You guys
have great values and it shows through your hard work. Kudos to
team Ward and Hale on the show; they are practically neighbors of mine.
God Bless. |
