Everybody has secrets ....

... but I'd like to share some of mine with you.  These tips are little things I've learned that can help make hunting, scouting, or tinkering with equipment a little more enjoyable and more successful.  If you have a tip you would like to share, please e-mail me at lwho31@aol[no_spam}.com

HUNTING TIPS
bulletWhen bowhunting, it's a good idea to hang your stands at about the same height if possible.  You can help make sure this happens by using the length of your equipment haul rope as a guide.
bulletEveryone should own a "Game Processor" by Outdoor Edge Cutlery.  They have a wonderful selection of gutting knives and processing knives.  I especially like the one that cuts through bone which makes it so much easier when splitting the hind quarters.
bulletWhen bowhunting, I find it almost impossible to keep the mosquitoes off my hands.  I was hesitant to wear gloves, mainly because I was afraid my Tru-Ball release would not fit properly.  However, with the "Finger Touch" gloves made by Whitewater Outdoors, I was able to still use my release and it worked just fine.
bulletI have found that it is a good idea to go through your back-pack and open anything that might make noise (especially food) and put it into ziploc bags.  This will help eliminate unnecessary noise.
bulletIf you are filming with a camcorder, open the LCD screen and have everything ready to record.  This helps cut down on movement and noise as well.  (I usually make a soft grunt noise when turning on my camera due to a small signal noise the camera makes.)
